Orientation Tours

Orientation Tours are one of the best ways for incoming students and their families to become more familiar with campus. This tour is completely customized to meet your needs. Your tour guide will lead you through your academic buildings, allowing you to learn where all of your classes are, and will confirm that all required documents have been received.

If you’d like to review your class schedule and discuss your academic plan, please contact your academic college to set up a time to meet during your visit to campus.

Reservations

Please register online or call 207.581.1524 to attend an orientation tour. Please note that tours may not be available due to holidays or university student breaks. All visitors must pre-register for our campus tours. Walk-in tours will not be available. These tours are limited to one student and two guests.

From Bangor International Airport

Orono is approximately twenty (20) minutes north. Once leaving the airport, turn right onto Union Street. Travel approximately 1.8 miles to I-95. Take I-95 North.

From the South

Take exit 191 to Kelley Rd and turn right. In 0.9 miles turn left onto Main Street. Continue for 2.3 miles. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Rangeley Rd and continue for 0.8 miles then turn left onto Long Rd. Drive about 0.3 miles, Ferland Engineering Education and Design Center will be on your left, parking will be on your right.

From the North

Plan on arriving 15 minutes before the start of your campus tour to allow time for parking and check-in.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and appropriate weather gear. Please let us know when you register if you will need special accommodations as the program includes walking.
