In recent years, York County farms have embraced agritourismÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýdirect-to-consumer markets, contributing to Maine’s $172 million in direct farm sales. But as farming evolves, so do the challenges—like preparing for change in long term weather patterns, navigating labor and finances, and planning for the next generation.
Develop a Marketing Strategy for Your Farm
A practical workshop led by Sustainable Agriculture and Farm Business Management Educator Brett Johnson. Participants will explore best practices in farm marketing, including market research, developing a customer profile, and creating a marketing strategy that captures more value and supports long-term profitability. Content is appropriate for both beginning and experienced producers, with the goal of helping participants build a functional marketing plan.
