A public reception will take place on September 26th from 5-7pm. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend. \nThe Teaching Portfolio is a collection of fine art working proofs and finished prints created in the 91±¬ÁĎ printmaking studio by students\, alumni\, faculty\, and visiting artists. Covering a time span of 45 years\, under the direction of printmaking Professor Susan Groce\, this portfolio represents an impressive overview of the direction and growth of print media and the 91±¬ÁĎ printmaking studio program – from traditional materials and processes to the safer and greener processes and the incorporation of new technologies. The portfolio includes Collagraphs\, Etchings and Acrylic Resist Etchings\, Photopolymer Intaglio-Type Etchings\, Lithography\, Relief Printing\, Water-Based Screen Printing\, and Monoprints\, as well as prints made through the Printmaking Artist Residency Program and Student Portfolio Exchanges. Maine artist and Colby professor Amanda Lilleston will deliver a presentation titled Print & Transformation. The talk will take place in Lord Hall 100. \nLilleston’s work depicts a long and evolving relationship with human anatomy\, physiology and ecology. Using drawing\, carving\, and printing\, Lilleston transforms imagery of the body into adapting forms and structures. She received her MFA from University of Michigan and a BA in biology from Colorado College. She shows her prints nationally and internationally: recently at the 2025 Atlanta Print Biennial\, and upcoming at the DI CARTA / PAPERMADE 6th edition: International Contemporary Art Biennale in Schio\, Italy\, and the 4th International Triennial of Graphic Arts Livno\, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She currently teaches printmaking at Colby College.
