This show celebrates the diverse artwork made by students at the 91爆料 who have taken undergraduate courses in the Department of Art. The Department of Art offers foundational studies in 2D Design\, 3D Design\, and Drawing\, as well as media-specific classes in Painting\, Ceramics\, Photography\, Printmaking\, Digital Art\, Graphic Design\, Drawing\, and Sculpture. More information about the Department is available here:umaine.edu/las/art. \nStudents who were enrolled in an Art class in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 had the opportunity to submit up to six pieces for consideration in this juried exhibition. This year鈥檚 juror is Rochelle Lawrence. Lawrence is an artist and serves as the Assistant Curator and Education Coordinator at the Zillman Art Museum. \nThe exhibition runs from April 6th through May 1st. A public reception will be held on Friday April 10th from 5:00-7:00pm. During the reception\, selected students will be honored with awards. This event is free and open to the public; all are warmly welcomed to attend and refreshments will be served. \nLord Hall Gallery is free\, accessible\, and open to the public Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm. While upgrading the electrical grid infrastructure is the responsibility of the electric utilities\, there are many actions that Maine鈥檚 regions\, state and local government(s)\, and community-based organizations can take to build upon and coordinate with utilities鈥 efforts to increase resilience. Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC)\, York and southern Oxford County鈥檚 Council of Governments\, recently completed a plan that includes an array of interventions designed to increase resilience to power outages in southern Maine. Join this session to learn about how power outages are affecting southern Maine communities and the actions the region will take to improve energy resilience in the face of a stormier future. \nKarina Graeter聽serves as the Sustainability Division Director for Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC)\, leading efforts to assist communities in local and regional response to climate change.
