This show celebrates the diverse artwork made by students at the 91±¬ÁĎ who have taken undergraduate courses in the Department of Art. The Department of Art offers foundational studies in 2D Design\, 3D Design\, and Drawing\, as well as media-specific classes in Painting\, Ceramics\, Photography\, Printmaking\, Digital Art\, Graphic Design\, Drawing\, and Sculpture. More information about the Department is available here:umaine.edu/las/art. \nStudents who were enrolled in an Art class in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 had the opportunity to submit up to six pieces for consideration in this juried exhibition. This year’s juror is Rochelle Lawrence. Lawrence is an artist and serves as the Assistant Curator and Education Coordinator at the Zillman Art Museum. \nThe exhibition runs from April 6th through May 1st. A public reception will be held on Friday April 10th from 5:00-7:00pm. During the reception\, selected students will be honored with awards. The course is open to all adults and youth interested. A Federal Certificate of Training will be issued at the end of the course after successful completion of the written test and driving course and with attendance requirements met. This certificate is required for 14 and 15 year olds who plan to operate farm equipment for hire on farms other than their own. \nFormat: \n\nIn-person lectures\, hands-on demonstrations\, and tractor driving.\nAdditional reading and coursework outside of class time.
