SUMMARY:2026 Student Exhibition in Lord Hall Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Lord Hall Gallery is proud to host the Department of Art’s 2026 Student Exhibition. This show celebrates the diverse artwork made by students at the 91±¬ÁÏ who have taken undergraduate courses in the Department of Art. The Department of Art offers foundational studies in 2D Design\, 3D Design\, and Drawing\, as well as media-specific classes in Painting\, Ceramics\, Photography\, Printmaking\, Digital Art\, Graphic Design\, Drawing\, and Sculpture. More information about the Department is available here:umaine.edu/las/art. \nStudents who were enrolled in an Art class in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 had the opportunity to submit up to six pieces for consideration in this juried exhibition. This year’s juror is Rochelle Lawrence. Lawrence is an artist and serves as the Assistant Curator and Education Coordinator at the Zillman Art Museum. \nThe exhibition runs from April 6th through May 1st. A public reception will be held on Friday April 10th from 5:00-7:00pm. During the reception\, selected students will be honored with awards. This event is free and open to the public; all are warmly welcomed to attend and refreshments will be served. \nLord Hall Gallery is free\, accessible\, and open to the public Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm. DESCRIPTION:One of the highlights of the School of Performing Arts calendar is back! The Spring Dance Showcase is set for April 30\, May 1 and May 2. All performances will be at 7:30 PM in Hauck Auditorium. \nJoin dozens of talented dancers from every corner of campus as they bring to life an assortment of movement styles. Modern\, hip-hop\, ballet\, tap – all that and more will grace the Hauck stage underneath the newly-upgraded lighting system! \nTickets are $15\, but admission is free with a student MaineCard.
