SUMMARY:Fermentation Friday - Fermented Fixin’s
DESCRIPTION:Fermentation Friday takes place at the 91±¬ÁÏ in Orono. During Fermentation Friday\, held at the 91±¬ÁÏ Food Lab in Hitchner Hall\, participants cook\, create\, share\, and connect. Using recipes as starting points\, we explore fermentation\, storytelling\, food rescue\, and local food systems. Over the past four semesters\, we have hosted authors and chefs who have enriched our sessions with their expertise. \nFor Fall 2025\, we have an exciting lineup of sessions planned: \nNovember 21 – Fermented Fixin’s\nDecember 5 – Festive Ferments \nAt the heart of the Fermentation Friday program is a commitment to foster deep connections. We strive to provide hands-on experiences that empower individuals to ferment and share stories while learning through observation\, exploration\, and reflection on our human relationship with microbes. \nFermentation Friday ​i​s a cross-disciplinary space\, and it is our hope that it will ​​spark curiosity in ​the exciting emerging sciences that depart from our understanding of fermentation processes​.

DESCRIPTION:Come with us on a journey through our Milky Way! Together we will fly to places where\nno human being has ever been before. We start at our Sun\, look at our galaxy from the\noutside and plunge into the starry center. In the process\, we will address exciting\nquestions: How does a galaxy form and function? And where do all the stars come\nfrom?\nUsing current scientific data and simulations have been implemented for the\nplanetarium\, audiences will experience our home galaxy as vividly in new ways! \nAges 12 and up \nTickets for planetarium programs are $7 for Adults\, $6 for 91±¬ÁÏ Students/Veterans/Senior Citizens\, and $5 for children under 12.
