SUMMARY:Start Your 4-H Volunteer Journey
DESCRIPTION:“Start Your 4-H Volunteer Journey” will provide participants with information about the 91±¬ÁĎ Extension 4-H program\, including key aspects of positive youth development and opportunities to help youth as a volunteer. The one-hour virtual sessions will also outline the application process for anyone interested in getting involved. \n4-H is a positive youth development program that empowers youth to “find their spark” and thrive. Volunteers play key roles in these experiences\, making a difference by helping youth explore and discover the skills they need to lead successful and fulfilling lives. Adults interested in starting a 4-H club\, sharing expertise and passion through shorter programs that last a few hours or a few weeks\, or assisting with local county 4-H events are encouraged to attend. \nThe informational sessions are free; registration is required on the program webpage. You know you’re a great teacher but you’re overwhelmed. \nIf this sounds familiar\, Teaching from the Heart is the professional development course for you. Using a curriculum based on Nonviolent Communication principles\, this program will provide you with tangible ways to manage your classroom and reach your full potential as an educator. Our doubts as caregivers and teachers are inevitable. If we have a system to refer to when these doubts creep in\, we can relax. \nLearn how to manage your classroom/learning environment with a practical\, simple curriculum based on Nonviolent Communication expert Gina Simm’s book Heart to Heart: Three Systems for Staying Connected (A Manual for Parents and Teachers).
