This employee\u2019s primary responsibility is to oversee the safety and programming for campers ages 5-12 for 10 weeks of summer camp. Additionally, he or she will facilitate games and activities to enhance the camp experience for each participant. He or she will provide excellent customer service and always be attentive to campers\u2019 needs. The person holding this position is responsible for facilitating a fun, safe and welcoming environment for participants and staff members at all times. Before employment begins they are required to achieve certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED for Child and Adults as well as pass a State Background Check.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The responsibilities of this position include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">General supervision of multiple children with facilitating program rules<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regulations, and safety concerns<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Greeting and supervising children during drop-off and pick-up<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Escorting campers to and from each program<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist program director and Assistant Director as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Plan and implement recreational activities for children<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend to injuries and illnesses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist parents with inquiries regarding the program<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maintain camp facilities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend staff meetings and trainings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Perform other duties as assigned<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As a RAD Camp Counselor, you are expected to be a friendly, knowledgeable, and vigilant representative of Campus Recreation\/Town of Orono.
