CORE Freezer Program Transition<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are pleased to announce that the negotiated pricing, previously available only through the CORE Freezer Program, is now available to all purchasers across the 91±¬ΑΟ System. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CORE Freezer Program concluded at the end of FY26 (June 30, 2026). Since the discontinuation of the on-campus freezer inventory during the COVID-19 pandemic and with negotiated pricing now available directly through Marketplace, a centralized program is no longer necessary. Additionally, current budget constraints mean that continuing the program in its existing form would require a minimum of a $20 administrative fee per order. For many purchases, this fee would exceed the value of the order itself, making the program neither cost-effective to operate nor practical for users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individuals with purchasing authority should now place orders directly through Marketplace and will receive the negotiated pricing. Purchases should be made at the individual, laboratory, or departmental level, as appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ordering guidance and current quotes for commonly purchased items are available under each vendor heading on this website and must be referenced when placing orders in Marketplace in order to receive the discounts for non-marketplace punchout vendors. If you need a product that is not listed, please contact the vendor directly to request a quote. Vendor contact information is provided within the appropriate vendor tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CORE Freezer Program website will remain available as a resource for accessing current vendor quotes, locating vendor contact information, and providing brief ordering guidance. Additional Marketplace training and procurement resources are available through the UMS Procurement website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
