I went to undergrad at a small school in Indiana (DePauw) and did my grad work right here on the Orono campus. I think Maine is the country\u2019s best kept secret and love to hike, kayak, snow shoe, and explore. My husband and I have three dogs and call them our \u2018kids\u2019. I teach yoga and incorporate mindfulness in all the work I do with clients. Being fully present with someone while they share their story is sometimes the best medicine out there.<br>-What has been your most embarrassing moment (that you are willing to share)?<br>If you walk by my office, you\u2019ll definitely catch me talking to myself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is your favorite food?<\/strong><br>All things Italian, especially homemade sauce, pasta, and gnocchi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, were would you go?<\/strong><br>Italy &#8211; it would be amazing to go there and take a cooking class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional Credentials and Interests<\/strong><br>Masters in Social Work (MSW): 91±¬ΑΟ 2001<br>Bachelors of Arts (BA): DePauw University 1995<br>Board Member, Maine State Social Work Board of Licensure<br>Board Member, Penquis CAP (Community Action Program)<br>Advisory Board Member, Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse<br>I am a clinical social worker and enjoy working directly with people individually and in groups. My theoretical framework is a mixture of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. It is crucial that all people I work with feel heard and valued.
