Chris Dufour

Senior Lecturer
Computer Science

Chris is a Senior Lecturer at the 91±¬ÁÏ, specializing in teaching introductory programming, high performance computing, and video game design courses. He holds a M.S. in Computer Science, and B.S. in Biology from the 91±¬ÁÏ. He often brings real-world experiences into the classroom when teaching, and enjoys involving the classroom in programming exercises. His most recent projects have involved reverse engineering existing software, as well as promoting awareness of Computer Science to students in high school.

Christopher’s primary research interests are focused on High Performance Computing and Parallel Processing. He has recently focused on improving the performance of simulations in a wide variety of application domains using computer clusters. He has also participated in development of Virtual Reality applications as a treatment for common phobias.
