Summer Courses

General Information

  • All Early College classes carry 91±¬ÁÏ credit and meet the general education requirements of 91±¬ÁÏ.
  • Course registration is subject to space availability and registration will be confirmed via email. Complete applications include Student signature, Parent signature, & School Counselor approval in the  portal.
  • Starting with the Class of 2027, qualified students may earn a lifetime total of 18 tuition-free credits.
  • Approved Maine students have the opportunity to take additional credits. They will be charged a reduced tuition rate of $149 credit/hr for on-campus or online credits and $60 credit/hr for concurrent enrollment credits over these limits. 
  • Graduating HS seniors (grad year 2026) will not be eligible to participate in Summer 2026 Early College courses. If you are a Senior and going to attend 91±¬ÁÏ or 91±¬ÁÏ at Machias in the fall please consider signing up for Summer Start!
  • Please note that most science and math courses have lecture and recitation portions as well as lab portions that are required. Please keep this in mind when selecting these courses.
  • Math and language placement exams will be required for those courses.
  • Make sure you have adequate technology and internet connectivity available to you that will allow you to complete online or remote courses.  are available from the Division for Lifelong Learning.

Suggested 4 Week Online Courses

  • Deadlines for complete applications are one full week prior to the class start date (complete: student and parent signatures with guidance counselor approval).
  • Important Information:
    • These are condensed sections that move at a significantly accelerated pace.
    • The expected workload is nearly 40 hours per week on average.
    • Students wishing to enroll in these sections will be required to sign up and attend an to ensure they fully understand expectations.
  • Course Modes: All online courses are listed as either WW or DS 
    • WW: Fully online
    • DS: Course meets at a specific time and day as noted
