Ellsworth American reports on 91±¬ÁÏ, UMM special ed collaboration
published a 91±¬ÁÏ news release announcing a special education collaboration between 91±¬ÁÏ and the 91±¬ÁÏ at Machias. Starting this fall, undergraduate students majoring in education at both universities will be able to count certain 400-level courses toward a master’s degree in special education. The collaboration is part of a new 4+1 program that will allow 91±¬ÁÏ and UMM students to earn both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years. In addition, 91±¬ÁÏ undergrads majoring in elementary education will now be able to take special education courses remotely through the Machias campus for a concentration in special education.
