Kittiya Reeves: Outstanding Student in Human Development
Kittiya Reeves of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, is the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Student in Human Development award from the 91±¬ÁÏ College of Education and Human Development Master of Science program in Human Development.
Kittiya is a full-time mother who works part-time jobs in education with international students while moving around with her family. She was formerly an English teacher in Thailand, and a substitute teacher and a library teacher in Guangzhou, China. She is a member of Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society and is currently working with international students at a high school in Bangor, Maine. Kittiya is passionate about understanding parent-child relationships. She has been working in the Parenting Relationships Research Lab at 91±¬ÁÏ since its opening two years ago. She is finishing her research study, “Parent-Adolescent Relationships of International Boarding High-School Students.” Kittiya hopes to use her degree to continue working with international students and expand her research.
This wonderful experience at 91±¬ÁÏ has been life-changing for Kittiya, as she is a mother herself, and she has been applying her knowledge gained in her own family relationships.
