Adams, advised by assistant professor of curriculum, assessment and instruction Rebecca Buchanan, received best undergraduate presentation in the education category for his project, “An Analysis of Citizenship Education Efforts in Maine Middle Schools.” Bock, who is advised by assistant professor of mathematics education and instructional technology Justin Dimmel, received best graduate presentation in the education category for “Arguing Within and Beside a Pyramid: How Can Virtual-Reality be Used to Learn Geometry?”<\/p>\n
The sixth annual student symposium was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, the Center for Undergraduate Research (CUGR) and Student Government and Graduate Student Government as part of Maine Impact Week. The free public event provided an opportunity for the public to view student research and scholarly work \u2014 all online due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n
