{"id":25560,"date":"2025-03-27T15:46:41","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T19:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/edhd\/?p=25560"},"modified":"2025-03-31T09:51:42","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T13:51:42","slug":"learning-without-limits-registration-now-open-for-2025-umaine-summer-educators-institute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/edhd\/2025\/03\/27\/learning-without-limits-registration-now-open-for-2025-umaine-summer-educators-institute\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning Without Limits: Registration now open for 2025 91爆料 Summer Educators Institute"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 91爆料 College of Education and Human Development is now accepting registrants for the 2025 91爆料 Summer Educators Institute, which will be held June 25-27 on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s conference will feature experts from the college, as well as thought-leaders in the field of K-12 education from Maine and beyond, who will hold a series of workshops and talks around the theme \u201cLearning Without Limits: Elevating Education Across Communities.\u201d Attendees can choose from sessions in three strands: Cultivating Rural Teacher Leadership, Middle-Level Education and Reaching All Learners. During the conference, the college\u2019s Center for Applied Research on Education and Schools (CARES) will host a meeting of its Rural Teacher-Leader Support Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex Shevrin Venet, a Vermont-based educator, professional learning facilitator and writer, is this year\u2019s keynote speaker. Shevrin Venet is the author of two books, \u201cEquity-Centered, Trauma-Informed Education\u201d and \u201cBecoming and Everyday Changemaker: Healing and Justice at School,\u201d as well as numerous articles for publications like Edutopia and Mindshift. She is founder of the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unconditionallearning.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unconditional Learning<\/a> and co-founder of Nurturing the Nurturers, which helps support teacher well-being. She teaches graduate-level courses for educators at Vermont State University and Antioch University New England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Educators who participate in the institute are eligible for 25 contact hours or 2.5 continuing education units (CEUs). The cost to attend the three-day conference is $595. Educators who register before May 1 will pay the early bird discount rate of $525. There\u2019s also a group discount rate of $499 per person for three or more people from the same school, district or other organization. Participants are also eligible for a discount rate at Hotel Ursa, located on campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information, including a link to register, is available <a
