Week 2 – GO!
Hurray – it’s Week 2 of the Maine Home Food Waste Challenge!
Today is the start of new food waste collecting for Week 2. Make sure to start with your empty and rinsed-out food waste collection container. If you are using our printable tracker, you can easily record your Week 2 data there.
With the start of Week 2, we want to share a variety of tips and resources to help you reduce your food waste.
Week 2 Food Waste Tips: Plan More, Waste Less
We heard you… you bought and even cooked good food to eat, but somehow you forgot it, bought or made too much, or simply “lost” the food in the back of your fridge – now you can’t eat it! What to do?
- Create an section in your fridge – you won’t lose good, valuable food any more!
- , and make sure you bring a list to the store – this way you can ensure you are only buying food you need for your weekly recipes!
