{"id":1477,"date":"2017-05-30T17:34:50","date_gmt":"2017-05-30T17:34:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/francoamerican\/?page_id=1477"},"modified":"2025-04-09T10:40:19","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T14:40:19","slug":"after-school-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/francoamerican\/after-school-program\/","title":{"rendered":"After-school French classes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">French after-school program for K-5&nbsp;\/ Le Club Fran\u00e7ais<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Franco American Programs runs an after-school French program for children in grades K-5. &nbsp;It is designed for those&nbsp;with no exposure to French and for those with some experience in the language. &nbsp;Our aim is to make learning French fun in a safe, after-school environment. We also seek to connect French language learners with heritage language speakers in our area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The classes are organized by ability, and students are taught by French and Education college students under the supervision of Susan Pinette and Lisa Michaud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hold class on Wednesdays afterschool until 5pm at the Franco-American Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Classes will begin on&nbsp;<strong>Wednesday February 5 and end on March 12&nbsp;<\/strong>(6 weeks of classes).
