Hello! My name is Carina and I am studying Ecology and Environmental Science with a concentration in Earth and Climate Science. My favorite mineral right now is dioptase, mainly because of the color and form. I like to hike and look at maps, carve things, and collect insects! I’m excited to see you all again, along with some new faces, and have a rockin time!

²Ñ²¹Âá´Ç°ù:ÌýEarth and Climate Sciences, Sustainability Minor

I’m Mason, a 4th year Earth and Climate major, with an Earth concentration and Sustainability Minor! My favorite minerals are tourmaline and garnet, since I can find them while on Geology Club rockhounding trips! Outside of Geology Club, I spend my time biking, hiking, and thrift shopping (for rocks mostly)! This will be my 4th (and final) year with Geology Club, and I’m so excited to share it with all of you!

²Ñ²¹Âá´Ç°ù:ÌýEarth and Climate Sciences, Outdoor Leadership Minor

Hi I’m Ashley! I study Earth and Climate Sciences with a concentration in Earth Science and a minor in Outdoor Leadership. My favorite mineral is celestine because it’s light blue and contains strontium that’s used in fireworks! I enjoy hiking, climbing, IDing minerals, and taking naps. I’m super excited to flood your inbox with GeoClub emails this year!

Hi there! I’m Jules. I am an undergraduate in the ECS department with a research background in paleoclimate and water chemistry. Among my favorite geologic features are banded iron formations (BIFs), a sedimentary rock rich with alternating layers of iron that serves as an invaluable climate archive. I enjoy birdwatching, inclement weather, the winter season, and exploring all the creative outlets the world has to offer. Here’s to a new year of Geology Club packed with adventures and learning experiences!

Major: Earth and Climate Sciences

Hi folks! My name is Maggie, and I’m an Earth and Climate Sciences major with a Climate Science concentration. My favorite mineral is olivine because it’s my favorite color (green) and it can be found in
meteorites! I love to spend time outdoors, sing and listen to music, and look for cool rocks wherever I go. I love Geoclub and I can’t wait for another epic year!
