The course focuses on BASH training to enable classes to work in the UNIX environment.&nbsp; We develop those skills by applying them to some standard bioinformatics workflows like assembling and annotating a genome from NGS data and an example of microbiome analysis using bacterial 16s sequences.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">A dedicated web portal with links to instructional resources, online step-by-step video tutorials, case studies, and a forum for building a Community of Bioinformatics Trainers.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Support for delivering the curriculum that includes access to a dedicated<br \/>\nserver with bioinformatics software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">More information and the application can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/mdibl.org\/course\/bioinformatics-t3-train-the-trainer-2023\/\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Application Deadline: 05\/28\/2023<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The MDI Biological Laboratory is pleased to present Bioinformatics T3: Train the Trainer, a project that supports training in bioinformatics skills for college and university undergraduate science instructors so that they can effectively integrate bioinformatics into their science curricula, and help their students prepare for the 21st-century workplace.
