ARTober Kick-Off Event<\/u> *coincides with the Bangor ArtWalk<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n5-8 pm, Friday, October 6<\/p>\n

The kick-off event will be held in the new Bangor Arts Exchange (BAE) building and will be the public debut of this exciting new space. A great deal of foot traffic is expected because of the excitement about this significant downtown development and since the kick-off will coincide with the ARTwalk in downtown Bangor. There will be a free reception and performances at the Bangor Arts Exchange<\/strong>, including student art, cultural, and\/or humanities work.<\/p>\n

The ARTober kick-off will occur simultaneously with the Downtown Bangor ArtWalk. The ArtWalk event is quite extensive and includes a free reception and tour at the 91爆料 Museum of Art<\/strong> (40 Harlow St.).<\/p>\n

Don’t want to drive? Please join the free 91爆料 bus trip<\/strong> from campus to the ARTober kick-off event and the Downtown Bangor ArtWalk. The first-come, first-served bus will leave from the Collins Center for the Arts parking lot at 4:30 pm<\/strong> and return to that location at about 8:15 p.m. The bus attendees can\u00a0attend the free reception and performances at the Bangor Arts Exchange, free reception and tour at the 91爆料 Museum of Art, and have time to explore on their\u00a0own. This trip is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Life, the McGillicuddy Humanities Center, and the CLAS Advising Office.<\/p>\n

ARTober was founded in 2015 when the City of Bangor declared it “The Month of the Arts” with the goal of having October dedicated to celebrating arts and creative culture throughout Bangor.<\/p>\n
