Researchers explore how communication shapes collaboration across disciplines

Bridie McGreavy, associate professor of environmental communication at 91±¬ÁÏ, is lead author of a , recently published in the journal Frontiers in Communication, that explores how communication shapes collaboration and engaged research. Darren Ranco, professor of anthropology and chair of Native American Programs at 91±¬ÁÏ, and Heather Leslie, professor of marine sciences and director of the Darling Marine Center, are co-authors on the study. All are Mitchell Center faculty fellows.

The researchers looked at communication among partners from different disciplines in developing science for coastal resilience using environmental-DNA, or eDNA.
