Faith\u2019s presentation will cover the Maine Food Loss and Waste Generation Study published in 2024<\/a> that quantified food loss and waste production across various sectors. The research was conducted by Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions at the 91±¬ΑΟ, and the Center for EcoTechnology, with support from the Maine Governor\u2019s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future and funding from the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program. The study aimed to provide insights to inform strategic approaches to address food loss and waste as well as guide future research into suitable infrastructure enhancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faith Lee <\/strong>is an Associate Consultant at RRS and was the lead analyst for the Maine Food Loss and Waste Generation Study published in 2024. She has a background in supply chain mapping and data analytics, paired with ground experience working in recycling collection and sorting operations. Her work with RRS includes modeling waste supply estimates, landscape analyses and technical papers. These often involve both secondary and primary research. Faith is also an alumna of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, under which she completed her Masters in Supply Chain Management at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
