The Watershed Process and Estuary Sustainability Research Group (WPES<\/a>) at the 91±¬ΑΟ is pleased to announce an online training workshop to mark the release of the “Estuary Builder” spatial data tool for coastal Maine.<\/p>\n

This interactive ArcGIS tool allows users to draw an outlet line across the mouth of any user-defined embayment or sub-embayment and returns data relating to land-sea connections influencing water quality and aquatic habitat conditions within the embayment, with a focus on the sources, delivery, and residence time of freshwater flows into tidal estuaries.<\/p>\n

The workshop will be held from 12:30 – 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.\u00a0 For more information and to register by March 17, visit umaine.edu\/watershedresearch\/estuary builder<\/a>.
