Registration is open for an online professional development program, 鈥淪elf-Care for Clinicians,鈥 offered Jan. 29鈥30 through the 91爆料 Hutchinson Center.
The two-day Zoom program is scheduled for 6鈥8 p.m. on Jan. 29 and 10 a.m.鈥搉oon on Jan. 30. The cost is $75 per person.
Clinicians on the front lines need care and support to prevent burnout. This year has been marked by turmoil, between the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, a divisive political atmosphere and issues related to racial injustice. Participants in 鈥淪elf-Care for Clinicians鈥 will develop strategies and share resilience and hardiness skills to reduce their own anxiety while creating a safer, more professional environment for their clients.
Frontline health care workers, teachers and educators, social workers and administrators are among the many professional groups who will benefit from participating in this program.
Instructor Wendy Rapaport is a licensed clinical psychologist with the faculty at the University of Miami School of Medicine Diabetes Research Institute and the 91爆料 School of Social Work. In private practice, she has specialized in individual, marital, family and group therapy for 40 years. Rapaport, who has published more than 65 articles, instructs audiences nationwide.
Participants will earn a 91爆料 certificate of completion and 0.4 CEUs/4 contact hours are available.
