spoke with Caitlin Howell, a 91±¬ÁÏ assistant professor of biomedical engineering, about her research that includes collaboration with Sappi North America in Westbrook. Howell is seeking to use Sappi’s patterned release paper technology to produce inexpensive microfluidic channels for use in water purification systems and other medical applications.
