spoke with Bryn Evans, a Ph.D. student in the Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology program at the 91±¬ÁÏ, about her network of 120 motion sensor cameras that have been documenting the state’s wildlife at nearly 200 locations. Evans, who plans to graduate in December 2021, hopes to capture 1 million images before then. Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is considering continuing her work for the next 25 years to assess long-term wildlife trends in the state.
