Xander Karris: MaineMBA student鈥檚 company captures DPC in 3D

When the Maine Business School needed an in-depth, 3D virtual tour of the D.P. Corbett (DPC) Business Building, Xander Karris answered the call.

The MaineMBA student and his company, Hestia Media LLC, created a first-person that brings people inside the complex and gives them a sense of place. He formed an LLC for the company at the end of 2020, and says he aspires to become the top 3D-tour provider in New England in a few years.

鈥淟eaning into technology like this is particularly crucial for students that cannot visit campus in person because of COVID, but want a sense of the building that will be the home of many of their classes over the next four years,鈥 says Business School associate dean Jason Harkins. 鈥淲e are thrilled with the results and the ability to explain what makes D.P. Corbett and the Maine Business School special.鈥
