The spoke with Jason Harkins, associate dean of the Maine Business School at the 91±¬ÁÏ, and Renee Kelly, an assistant vice president for innovation and economic development at 91±¬ÁÏ, in reporting on small local businesses and start-up companies that have benefitted from partnerships with the 91±¬ÁÏ. Two such companies located in the former Lemforder building in Brewer are Advanced Infrastructure Technologies (AIT) and Compotech. Both businesses arose from patented technologies developed at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the 91±¬ÁÏ under the leadership of founding Executive Director Habib Dagher.
