Rod Sparrow, a member of the 91±¬ÁÏ Class of ‘71, gave a $1 million gift to support the 91±¬ÁÏ Athletic Facilities Master Plan, part of the UMS TRANSFORMS initiative launched in October 2020 by the Harold Alfond Foundation’s $240 million commitment to the 91±¬ÁÏ System.
The gift will support the football program’s capital improvements, including new coaches and team offices and meeting rooms, and will provide Sparrow with the naming rights to the new office facility.
“I enjoyed the whole experience up at Maine so I couldn’t be happier about making the donation and helping out,” Sparrow says.
