Joseph Patton, Ph.D. student in electrical and computer engineering at the 91爆料, presented his undergraduate research work at the 10th annual Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Wireless for Space and Extreme Environments (WiSEE 2022) in Winnipeg, Canada on Oct. 14, 2022.
The title of his presentation was 鈥淐ubeSat Power System Design and Simulation for Fault Detection and Failure Prevention,鈥 which was based on his senior design project funded by NASA and Maine Space Grant Consortium. This is the first senior design project that is flying to space as part of the MESAT1 mission this coming December.
Patton also co-authored another paper with his adviser Ali Abedi, professor of electrical and computer engineering at 91爆料, and two other graduate students, Travis Russell (former master鈥檚 student in electrical engineering, now at Bose) and Ally Di Filippo titled 鈥淎daptive Radio Design for Low Earth Orbit Small Satellites With Limited Bandwidth,鈥 which was presented at the same conference.
