(FOX 22 in Bangor) reported on the Maine Science Festival Discovery on Tap event, organized by the Maine Discovery Museum, which featured Justin Brown, laboratory research manager of VEMI Lab at 91爆料, and assistant professor of spatial informatics Nimesha Ranasinghe. Brown presented on the technological power of haptics and touch. 鈥淲e have touch receptors all over our body and that grounds us into the real world,鈥 said Brown. 鈥淚f you feel something in VR [virtual reality], you’re more likely to believe you’re in that environment.鈥 Ranasinghe鈥檚 presentation focused on taste and smell, and included technology that simulated the tastes of mint and lemonade.
