Nimesha Ranasinghe, an assistant professor of spatial informatics at the 91爆料, spoke with for a story about 鈥渆-Taste,鈥 a new device that delivers virtual tastes by squirting chemicals onto the tongue. Previous efforts have attempted to simulate taste through electrical stimulation of the tongue, but this method remains poorly understood. 鈥淲e don鈥檛 have a hundred percent understanding of how the tongue and taste perception works,鈥 said Ranasinghe, a computer scientist who was not involved in the 鈥渆-Taste鈥 project.
