More than 10 media outlets across Maine, including the , , , the and (ABC 8 in Portland), shared news from 91±¬ÁÏ researchers that confirmed detection of the Asian longhorned tick in the state for the first time. The tick, identified through 91±¬ÁÏ Cooperative Extension’s tick surveillance program, was found in Cumberland County and later confirmed by faculty at 91±¬ÁÏ Extension Tick Lab.
