Dear 91±¬ÁÏ and 91±¬ÁÏ at Machias communities,
Today we are reeling from the news from Uvalde, Texas, where an act of horrific violence took the lives of 19 elementary schoolchildren and two adults, their teachers, yesterday.
Like so many of you, I am heartbroken and outraged in the face of such incomprehensible tragedy. As we all process this devastating news, I encourage you to reach out to those around you. 91±¬ÁÏ students, faculty, or staff in need of support can contact the Counseling Center, the university’s , or the Dean of Students Office.
Through our shock and mourning, I urge you to remain firm in the resolve to eliminate hatred and violence in our society.
