For instructions to sign up, see Instructions for CITI Training (Word), under Section V. Part f. Responsible Conduct of Research & Safe Research Environments.

The training includes 2 modules:
  • Preventing and Responding to Harassment and Bullying in Academia
  • Safer Research Environments: In the Field and Off-Site

This training is not required for any researchers, but it may be a useful resource for researchers who must have a plan in place for safe and inclusive research for off-campus or off-site research. For further information, please see 91爆料 System (UMS) Safe and Inclusive Work Environment Plan.

For guidance on how to access CITI and link your ORCID iD to your CITI account, please see Instructions for CITI Training (Word).

According to CITI, an ORCID iD is:

“…a permanent numeric identifier that individuals own and control, which provides a way to distinguish themselves uniquely from other researchers and scholars. ORCID IDs are often used in systems and platforms from grant applications to manuscript submissions, and are increasingly required by funders, publishers, data repositories, and other research workflows.”
