Your input will help ensure the best experience for all researchers who use this new platform in the future!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you are interested in trying the system, please contact <a href=\"mailto:umric@maine.edu\">umric@maine.edu<\/a> for further instructions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cayuse provides the following features\/benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The system features smart form logic \u2013 so you will only see the sections of the form that you actually need to complete, based on your study.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can view the status of your protocols. Whether it\u2019s under pre-review with the IRB staff or is waiting to be assigned to an IRB member, you can see exactly where your studies are in the review process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you submit a modification, all the changes are automatically highlighted for the reviewers to see.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The review time may be a bit delayed as we all get used to the new system, so we do not&nbsp;recommend submitting anything that is urgent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At this time we are <em>only <\/em>accepting low risk studies that fall into the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/research-compliance\/human-subjects\/exemption-categories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exempt<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/ohrp\/regulations-and-policy\/guidance\/categories-of-research-expedited-review-procedure-1998\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expedited (external link)<\/a>&nbsp;categories (no full board studies).&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, if you are interested in trying the system, please contact <a href=\"mailto:umric@maine.edu\">umric@maine.edu<\/a> for further instructions.
