The year 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination\u00a0of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., which is an appropriate time to reflect on his legacy.\u00a0Applicants are asked to reflect on the following quote, taken from the speech Dr. King gave the night before his death:<\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cAll we say to America is, \u2018Be true to what you said on paper.\u2019 If I lived in China or even Russia, or any totalitarian country, maybe I could understand the denial of certain basic First Amendment privileges, because they hadn\u2019t committed themselves to that over there. But somewhere I read of the freedom of assembly. Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of the press.
