Project Summary

The Blueberry Hill Farm project strengthens research infrastructure supporting the state’s wild blueberry industry. Located in Washington County, the project focuses on advancing harvesting and processing technologies, as well as irrigation and horticultural practices in response to changing markets and climate conditions. Upgrades include electrical improvements to an existing storage barn and pesticide storage facility to accommodate new harvesting equipment and support safe pesticide mixing for research trials. A new well, pump system and lateral line irrigation network across the 30-acre research farm are being installed to support irrigation research and help growers prepare for future drought conditions.
