Boardman Hall, built in 1949 and serving more than 65% of Maine College of Engineering and Computing students, will undergo a $50 million modernization to support collaboration, innovation and learning.
The Forest Biomaterials Innovation Center will expand the existing Process Development Center by 7,500 square feet to support innovation in Maine’s forest economy.
The GEM building is a 50,000-square-foot research and education facility designed to advance innovation in advanced manufacturing. It will integrate AI-enabled 3D printing, computational materials science, and digital additive and hybrid manufacturing technologies.
