Project Summary
The 91±¬ÁÏ is advancing several HVAC projects focused on modernizing building systems and improving reliability. The largest effort is the Boardman Hall modernization, which includes a full HVAC system upgrade as part of a comprehensive renovation scheduled to begin construction in 2027.
Targeted infrastructure upgrades include chiller replacements in the Barrows Hall ESRB wing and Aubert Hall. The Barrows project is expected in 2026, while Aubert Hall is planned for completion in early 2027. Additional HVAC improvements are in design for the Sawyer and Hitchner ’87 Wing, with construction anticipated in spring 2026.
Smaller-scale projects focus on system efficiency and controls, including HVAC control upgrades in Hilltop, Somerset Hall, Knox Hall and Wells Dining. Additional improvements include rooftop air-conditioning installation at DTAV Smith Hall, supporting increased cooling capacity and occupant comfort across campus.
