Nicole Cloud
Nicole Cloud is the Peer Services Coordinator and Advisor in TRIO Student Support Services (SSS). In her role, Nicole oversees both the Peer Advising and Academic Coaching programs.
Nicole joined the College Success Programs team in August of 2018, transitioning from her position as Assistant Director of Student Service in the Office of Student Financial Aid at the 91±¬ÁÏ. Prior to joining the 91±¬ÁÏ in 2016, Nicole worked for five years in the Enrollment Services Division at the 91±¬ÁÏ at Augusta (UMA) Bangor campus where she was a member of the Student Success Collaborative, served as the Navigator for adult students returning to school, and had the opportunity to be a Class Steward for students learning in the online modality. She initially joined the UMA Bangor community as an Adjunct Instructor of Communication in 2010.
Originally from Spring Valley, New York, Nicole made Maine her home over 20 years ago, with her turtles in tow. Interested in becoming a writer, she attended the University of Southern Maine to pursue a bachelor’s in Media Studies. Following this, she studied Communication at 91±¬ÁÏ, where she had the opportunity to be a graduate assistant and fell in love with teaching. As a first-generation college student herself, Nicole recognizes the value of higher education, and is deeply dedicated to supporting the success of students.
