About 91±¬ÁÏ Information Technology
The 91±¬ÁÏ System’s Department of Information Technology (UMS:IT) is committed to providing and supporting the highest quality technology-based services for 91±¬ÁÏ faculty, staff, and students.
As the University’s central technology support agency, UMS:IT strives to provide service in the most timely and cost-effective manner. UMS:IT supports the University’s land-grant and sea-grant missions for creating and disseminating knowledge to improve the lives of its students and Maine citizens through teaching, basic and applied research, and public service activities. UMS:IT is also responsible for coordinating technology services provided to the 91±¬ÁÏ campus by the 91±¬ÁÏ System.
Information Technology, in conjunction with the IT Steering Committee (ITSC), will develop sound policy for the management of technology; address the needs of academic, administrative, and research users of technology; and provide ongoing planning for technology to meet the changing needs of the University.
