Tanya is an innovation leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing interdisciplinary research capacity across academic, healthcare, and statewide innovation ecosystems. She specializes in collaborative research infrastructure, programs that support research growth, and building partnerships that connect universities, healthcare systems, and public-sector organizations to advance translational research and improve health outcomes.

Tanya serves as Assistant Director at the 91±¬ÁÏ Institute of Medicine, where she leads statewide research convenings, faculty seed funding initiatives, and cross-sector collaborations that foster interdisciplinary discovery and strengthen Maine’s research ecosystem. Her work focuses on creating opportunities for collaboration, supporting investigators, and developing infrastructure that enables impactful research.

Her experience spans health systems transformation, research governance, and digital health infrastructure. She has led large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) initiatives across Oracle Cerner and Epic environments, including workflow redesign and workforce education programs. She also contributes expertise in research ethics, Institutional Review Board (IRB) service, and health data compliance frameworks, including HIPAA and NIST standards.
