Nursing Option
Launch a career that combines compassionate care, leadership, and service through the United States Navy’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Nurse Program. Designed for driven students pursuing a nursing degree, the NROTC Nurse Option offers the opportunity to earn a commission as a Navy officer while receiving world-class medical and military training.
As a Navy Nurse, you will serve on the front lines of healthcare—providing critical medical support to Sailors, Marines, their families, and communities around the world. Through the NROTC program, students develop the clinical expertise, leadership skills, and professional confidence needed to excel in both military and civilian healthcare environments.
The NROTC Nurse Program combines rigorous academic preparation with hands-on leadership development, including training opportunities both ashore and at sea. Students gain exposure to Navy medicine, operational healthcare, and real-world experiences that set them apart from their peers.
In addition to exceptional career opportunities after graduation, eligible nursing students may compete for Navy nursing scholarships that can help cover tuition, educational expenses, and additional benefits while completing their degree.
