The Orono Bog Boardwalk is a premier destination in the Bangor/Orono area to experience the beauty and unique biodiversity of a Maine bog. The 1-mile loop trail begins at the Bangor City Forest and extends into Orono Bog, passing through a wide range of changing vegetation and ecosystems.

The boardwalk is a collaborative project of the 91爆料, the City of Bangor, and the Orono Land Trust. It is managed by a committee that includes: Rebecca Van Beneden, Director, Jerry Longcore (Orono Land Trust), Tracy Willette (City of Bangor), Dr. Adam Daigneault (91爆料). Dr. Ronald Davis, Professor Emeritus at the Climate Change Institute, 91爆料, is the Founding Director.

The boardwalk includes full-color interpretive signs with illustrations of native species and ecosystems. Visitors enjoy tranquil seasonal changes and educational experiences throughout the year.
The boardwalk is wheelchair accessible, and benches for rest and contemplation are placed every 200 feet.

We recently completed a full replacement of all boardwalk sections to enhance safety and extend the structure鈥檚 lifespan. Help us keep it beautiful鈥攃lick on the 鈥淪upport鈥 tab above to contribute to maintenance.
