Undergraduate Studies
The 91±¬ÁÏ’s Surveying Engineering Technology (SVT) program equips students with the practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to excel in the surveying profession. Accepted for licensure requirements in all 50 states and beyond, the program combines state-of-the-art techniques in boundary surveying, GPS, GIS, and photogrammetry with a foundation in business and project management. Students benefit from exceptional faculty licensed across multiple states, and unique summer work opportunities with private firms and government agencies nationwide.
Recognized as a multi-year NCEES Surveying Education Award winner, 91±¬ÁÏ’s SVT program stands out for its excellence in preparing students for professional success. Graduates have a 98% pass rate on their fundamentals of land surveying exam, often progress to project management roles within two to four years, and achieve licensure shortly after. With a legacy rooted in history—surveying was practiced by U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln—91±¬ÁÏ’s program continues to inspire and train the next generation of leaders in the surveying field.
Graduate Studies
The Graduate Certificate in Surveying Engineering at the 91±¬ÁÏ is designed for working professionals seeking to strengthen and modernize their expertise in a rapidly evolving field. As surveying technologies advance, this program provides an opportunity to expand technical knowledge, build on undergraduate training in surveying or related disciplines, and support career growth in both traditional and non-surveying backgrounds.
Students can enhance their understanding of modern surveying methods, strengthen mathematical foundations often not emphasized at the undergraduate level, and gain advanced skills relevant to today’s professional practice. The program also supports preparation for licensure exams and helps professionals develop the expertise needed for leadership roles in solving complex boundary and land-related challenges. It is also a strong stepping stone toward a Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Engineering and Business.
Delivered fully online with rolling admissions and no standardized test requirement, the program is built for flexibility and accessibility for working professionals.
